GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES CASH FOR WORK (C4W) PROGRAMME.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development MLGRD is implementing the Cash for Work (C4W) programme. This is in response to the drought experienced during the 2023/2024 farming season.

The Cash for Work (C4W) programme aims to provide relief to drought-affected communities and urban and rural areas impacted by food price increases and job losses. By offering cash in exchange for labor, the programme empowers individuals to purchase essential food items, alleviating vulnerability and supporting their well-being during this challenging time.
